The Shabby Cabinet

This is going to be a very annoying post to anyone who does not like to look at eleventy hundred pictures of the same item.  There, I said it.  Now, to state the obvious, I love love this cabinet.  Not just one love, it requires two.  And, to state another obvious, it took everything I had to take it down to my space.  Now you can see why I felt the need to photograph it as though the world were ending.

This project coincided with my peony burglarizing incident.  Such a beautiful combination in my non-expert opinion.

I pulled off the old metal knobs and replaced them with crystal knobs.  Using glass knobs is a tried and true method to add a little style to any piece.  It is an instant face lift, even without doing any other work.

Here is a peek at my new scale.  I just love the crusty old black metal paired with this cabinet.

This beauty has an adjustable shelf...the fickle decorator's dream!

Can you tell that I am not sick of my new feed sack yet?  I think I have used it in every picture I have taken since I got it.  And prepare to see it more in the very near future!

That concludes the mile long pictorial of the cabinet.  You will never have those ten minutes of your life back, and for that I apologize.  But is it just me, or do you love it too?

Speaking of things I love, I am thinking about starting something new.  Every week or two I want to peruse through the Antique Mall and take pictures of some of the things I think are fabulous or are such a great deal that I have to share them.  I thought it would be nice for those of you that don't make it in very often.  Please leave me a comment and let me know if this is something you would like to start seeing here on GRAY. <3 ya B.
